Voltage Fusion EP is here!! Available for streaming and download on all your favorite digital stores including Spotify and Apple Music. Do us a huge favor, listen and share Voltage Fusion EP with all your friends and family! Thank you all so much for listening, we sincerely hope you enjoy the new sound, much love!

Voltage Fusion EP is an immense journey through the audible spectrum. Songwriters Arias Goldanloo, and Gavi Torres-Olivares started experimenting with modal chord progressions in electronic music, and got addicted to the outcome. Electronica with jazz fusion as the forefront plus inspirations from funk and rock is what this EP is all about. Get ready for some deep funky bass lines, and dreamy guitar shredding, along with perplexing synthesizers, and sound design. Over a year in the making, the band has gotten some note-worthy reactions while performing raw versions of the album throughout the southwestern US on their first national tour.

Take A Hike, Poaching

MountainGoat

We were very disturbed to hear about the recent poaching of two mountain goats this July on Quandary Peak. In order to turn something negative into something positive, we will be hosting a hike Sep, 8th at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater to raise awareness about poaching. We’re honored to be teaming up with non-profit organization Rocky Mountain Wild to collect donations to preserve the biodiversity here in the Rocky Mountains. Additionally, 50% of all our merch sales for the month of September will go to Rocky Mountain Wild. Weather you are able to donate or not, we encourage animal lovers of all types to show their support at this event to truly illustrate that Coloradans do not tolerate poaching.

Love For Voyager

Our latest cover of Daft Punk’s “Voyager” has been getting a lot of love, including a feature by The Mile High Sound Movement. So we decided to give back by releasing two videos, a recap from Black Shirt Brewery, and an animation music video by Ill.Uminate.

A huge thanks goes out to Trevor McKenna for making us this recap video. Shout out to Black Shirt Brewery for booking us and making dank beers, as well as Ill.Uminate for putting on a killer light show.

Shout out to Mikey of Ill.Uminate for bringing life back to our logo in this animated music video of “Voyager”. Ill.Uminate is a mulit-media event service which specializes in lighting, check out a taste of their lighting in our BSB recap video.

A final big props goes out to The Mile High Sound Movement for continually supporting our music, and adding us to their monthly melodies playlist. This playlist features our music next to some badass musicians including Bass Physics, Project Aspect, Unlimited Gravity, Lucid Vision, So Down, Dynohunter and many more! We are incredibly honored to be featured in such a talented pool of musicians, thanks again to you all for listening!

We took an analog approach to a Daft Punk classic in this cover of Voyager by breaking the song down, and transposing parts where necessary to play them on our instruments. In order to make the cover as unique as possible, we included an extra section of Floatgoat original composition. This is the first Floatgoat tune with our newly added drummer, Rusty Balalau, who was recorded at KMG Life Studios up in Boulder, Colorado. This tune was over two years in the making, which took a lot of time and energy, and was quite literally a voyage, so we couldn’t be more happy to finally share it with you all.

Five Piece Band Recap (Ft. Collidoscope)

FLOATGOAT headlined Moe’s BBQ in Englewood on March 10th alongside some amazing supporting artist such as Float Like A Buffalo, Mammoth Water, and Moonlight Bloom. To make the night extra special we brought out our favorite locals on sax and keys Henry Brigham, and James Hatch from Collidoscope. We’ve played a few shows with these guys before, including a performance at The Eldo in Crested Butte with an extensive Collido-Goat jam in between sets. We greatly appreciate the funk these guys bring to the stage and it’s always a pleasure to jam with them. Shout out to Connor Tieulie for his skills filming and video editing, and big thanks to Kevin Cole for his consistency behind the camera.

FLOATGOAT Release Scrumpies

“Scrumpies” is the next level of floatgoat jamtronica as the duo steps into a micro-particle funk portal unlike anything floating goats have ever heard. The roots of this funk portal come from jazz/rock fusion, and more virtuous parts over longer jazz influenced chord progressions. The licks get scrumpadellic in this track, but always expect more improvisation in a live performance. We got inspired to write this tune on a tour with Evanoff after playing Animas City Theatre in Durango. Some dude kept making up funny words for things, and one was scrumpies, ‘The stuff that sticks to your foot after a raging party’.
