In the wake of unsettling climate change events Floatgoat erupts through clouds of silence with their latest single titled, “Easy”. The track fuses reggae, dub, rock and hip hop music with an environmentally conscious message. No one said that anything was easy.
Electric Love Club isn’t a place. It’s a mindset that anyone can achieve when they are feeling the music so much that they need to dance. Sung through the voice of the smooth Kaitlyn McDaniel, “Electric Love Club” tells a short narrative of a young woman having a blast when she goes out to dance. In short, “ELC” is really about giving yourself to the music and feeling it in your soul. Floatgoat Guitarist, Gavi Torres-Olivares took a ton of inspiration from past soul and funk artists like Rick James, Earth Wind and Fire, and Prince as well as newer funk sensations like Chromeo whilst coming up with the chords and structure of the song. Gavi kept it nice and simple with lyrics both young and mature listeners can appreciate like, “dance all night, all night, every day” and “Electric Love club, its where we go to have fun,”. The lyrics are meant to leave a very specific idea as to what the band wants for all its fans! Incorporating vocal harmonies, deep synths, slapping bass, and yes, some shredding guitar, “ELC” or “Electric Love Club”, is sure to get the hearts pumping, the legs shaking, the head bobbing, and the negativity out! It’s time to dance wherever you are!

We were very disturbed to hear about the recent poaching of two mountain goats this July on Quandary Peak. In order to turn something negative into something positive, we will be hosting a hike Sep, 8th at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater to raise awareness about poaching. We’re honored to be teaming up with non-profit organization Rocky Mountain Wild to collect donations to preserve the biodiversity here in the Rocky Mountains. Additionally, 50% of all our merch sales for the month of September will go to Rocky Mountain Wild. Weather you are able to donate or not, we encourage animal lovers of all types to show their support at this event to truly illustrate that Coloradans do not tolerate poaching.
