Electric Love Club isn’t a place. It’s a mindset that anyone can achieve when they are feeling the music so much that they need to dance. Sung through the voice of the smooth Kaitlyn McDaniel, “Electric Love Club” tells a short narrative of a young woman having a blast when she goes out to dance. In short, “ELC” is really about giving yourself to the music and feeling it in your soul. Floatgoat Guitarist, Gavi Torres-Olivares took a ton of inspiration from past soul and funk artists like Rick James, Earth Wind and Fire, and Prince as well as newer funk sensations like Chromeo whilst coming up with the chords and structure of the song. Gavi kept it nice and simple with lyrics both young and mature listeners can appreciate like, “dance all night, all night, every day” and “Electric Love club, its where we go to have fun,”. The lyrics are meant to leave a very specific idea as to what the band wants for all its fans! Incorporating vocal harmonies, deep synths, slapping bass, and yes, some shredding guitar, “ELC” or “Electric Love Club”, is sure to get the hearts pumping, the legs shaking, the head bobbing, and the negativity out! It’s time to dance wherever you are!
Kick back and relax to the soothing single, “Anyways” by Floatgoat. The tune draws inspiration from the singles life by infusing sexual innuendos into a laid back half time groove with funky bass, luscious guitar licks, and silky vocal parts. The gang stays true to their roots in electro-funk while experimenting with R&B style grooves. Listen closely for hypnotic backing synths and soundscapes. From one night stands, to cheesy pickup lines, “Anyways” is sure to bring a taste of the singles life straight to your ear-holes… lube not included.
